About VDC

Our Mission

Vision Dance Center provides a vibrant, inclusive, and fun place for our students to build community through the love of dance. Through our innovative artistic team, students will be encouraged and supported through a carefully cultivated curriculum designed with both learning and holistic development in mind.  Our focus is to provide students with a wonderful experience where they can explore their love of dance and to embody our values both in and out of the studio.

Our Story

When Ms. Amy was eleven years old, she was diagnosed with Stargardt's Macular Degeneration, a progressive condition that causes a blind spot to develop in the center of her eyes. Despite this diagnosis and the gradual loss of her central vision, Ms. Amy always found comfort while dancing. She performed and competed for her mom's studio in Bucks County, PA before attending Montclair State University where she ggraduated in 2018.

After years of planning and work, Vision Dance Center opened its doors in January 2024 with the goal of giving other children what Ms. Amy had always found... a home in the studio!

Vision Dance Center has its name because, as Ms. Amy says, "While I may lose my eyesight, I will always get to keep m Vision!"

Testimonials

My daughter started ballet/tap combo class this year, and everything has been going great. She gets a lot of attention, and the classes are small. Overall, she’s happy with it, so we’ll continue next year, recommending Vision Dance Center to everyone in the area, it’s really great location too!
Our daughter has been attending Vision Dance Center for some time now, and she truly loves it. We initially learned about the studio through an after-school program offered at her school, St. Paul's. It provided a wonderful opportunity for our daughter to explore dance and engage in various activities.
This past summer, we enrolled her in the studio's summer program, which exceeded our expectations. She participated in dance, arts and crafts, and came home every day enthusiastic and eager to return. As our daughter is hearing impaired, we were initially concerned about how she would adjust to a potentially loud environment with music and many children. However, she adapted remarkably well.
Amy, the owner of the studio, is exceptional with the children and demonstrates a high level of professionalism. She has been incredibly supportive and accommodating of our daughter's hearing needs, continuously seeking ways to assist her in class.
We love VDC, and Ms. Amy, And Ms. Sue. Such a wonderful place. Couldn't reccomend more.
The teachers are warm and easy to work with. They keep the kids engaged and excited
